GUNS N' ROSES: Costa Rica Show Rescheduled?

April 12, 2010

InsideCostaRica.com reports that the promoter of the GUNS N' ROSES concert in Costa Rica is pulling out all the stops to satisfy fans of the band that were disappointed when the concert at the Saprissa stadium was cancelled due to a faulty stage.

28 Producciones announced last Friday that the show would go on Tuesday in Alajuela's Morero Soto Stadium, despite the band's commitment for a show in Guatemala City on the same night.

By way of Twitter, Axl Rose said that he and his band expected to be back in Costa Rica soon, but gave no specific date or details. Rose said "3 shows 2 go!", not 4, adding a reprogrammed Costa Rica show.

However, the promoter is said to be scurrying this morning morning to obtain all the necessary permits to put on the show at the La Guacima.

To give credibility to the assurances of the promoters, work on erecting the stage at La Guacima race track was underway during the weekend.

The work is being carried out by the same constructor who erected the faulty stage at the Saprissa.
